Answers to the most common questions we get.
Yes. The home visit, the measure and the design session in our showroom cost nothing, and there is no obligation to go ahead.
No. We design, supply and fit complete Schmidt kitchens. We do not fit kitchens bought elsewhere, and we do not respray or refresh existing kitchens.
Yes. We plan the kitchen alongside the building work, and the building side is carried out by trusted contractors we work with. For an extension you will need architect's plans and planning permission in place, so we will ask how far along you are when we first speak.
Once your kitchen is ordered the lead time is usually 6 to 8 weeks. Taps and sinks arrive the day before fitting, worktops are templated once the units are in, with a 7-day turnaround, and your designer signs the kitchen off with you at the end.
Schmidt guarantees your kitchen will be completed, so the work cannot be left unfinished. The furniture and appliances carry their manufacturer guarantees, and if anything goes wrong after fitting, our fitter comes back to put it right.
A 10% commitment fee when you decide to go ahead with your design, 50% when the kitchen is ordered, and the remaining 40% seven days before delivery. Everything is in your itemised quote first.
